A unique getaway featuring 2 Tiny Houses, 1 Lodge, 1 Wellness/Spa Area with a Nordic Bath and Sauna, and 1 multipurpose room for workshops, seminars, or private events — accommodating up to 25 people.
All nestled on a stunning 2-hectare estate, surrounded by nature.
Nestled in the heart of the Ain region, between Geneva and Lyon, Refuge Insolite in Bugey welcomes you in a haven of tranquility. Set in a peaceful corner of mid-altitude mountains — without ever feeling isolated — the estate offers three unique, eco-friendly accommodations built from noble, sustainable materials: two Tiny Houses and one Lodge.
Come to unwind and reconnect with mother nature in Cormaranche-en-Bugey, at 900 meters above sea level, in every season:
Book « le Logis de Ambre » with its huge patio door and feast your eyes on the colors of Fall ; in winter, warm up by the little cute wood-burning stove of « Le Cabanon de M&M’s » or admire spring and its flowers; and in summer, enjoy the pure air and sleep (almost) under the stars from your comfy bed in « Le Nid Étoilé d’Augustine » !
A little extra to make your stay truly unforgettable: all year round, immerse yourself in pure relaxation by privatizing le Spa d’Albane. The outdoor Nordic Bath and indoor Sauna offer a rejuvenating break, open not only to guests but also to locals seeking a wellness escape.
To enhance your experience, La Salle Studieuse du Club des 5 — a welcoming space for up to 25 people — is available for seminars, workshops, or family gatherings. Whether you are looking to recharge, learn, or celebrate, the entire estate can be fully privatized for your event. Contact us for more information !

To ensure the magic happens as you step onto the grounds of Refuge Insolite en Bugey, allow yourself to be enchanted by a carefully arranged bouquet on your table, pre-ordered by your beloved. Be carried away by a song, perhaps your wedding/ first date song, specially selected by your partner, played live on piano and voice by your host, who, in that moment, becomes your intimate messenger. So you got the idea : Refuge Insolite en Bugey is a “Land of reconnection” where we savor the present moment, enjoy nature, the spa/relaxing area as well as the events taking place all year long in the Plateau d’Hauteville area !
For an original week in the open air, an unusual short stay in the mountains, or a weekend with a romantic touch, come to us and enjoy a quiet stay, whatever the season!

Take the “little path of the tinys” and you will find our cozy and romantic tiny at the far end of our estate !
Le Nid Étoilé d’Augustine
2 up to 6 persons.
Take the “little path of the tinys” and fall under the spell of this tiny home, designed as much for tribes as for friends or lovers!
Le Logis de Ambre
2 up to 8 persons.
Park quietly in the car park and take the “Magic Footbridge” which will take you straight to the terrace facing the pine trees.

To encourage "living together” and for the comfort of all guests, we kindly ask you to keep your pet on a leash at all times on our estate. Our place is bordered by several forest paths/trails, meadows, and a river where you can let your pet run free.

What can we tell you about us? We’re known as… the Club of 5! Yes, everything works in fives here...
Your 5 hosts: Marion, Maxime, and our 3 daughters, Ambre, Augustine, and Albane! Our 5 cats: Titi, Gribouille, Bleuet, Bilbonne, and Noirot!
And Chloé, who joined the adventure for 2 years!
And again, as 5 is our favorite number, we started this project by designing 5 different “spaces” on our estate.
